I should probably, you know, submit something sooner or later.
But hey, I may not be submitting anything, but I am drawing. Still nothing worth talking about, but definitely a lot better than what I could do the last time I actively contributed to the dA community. The problem, though, is that nothing ever really gets beyond the sketch stage. Finished products (or anything remotely resembling one) still elude me. Not just where drawing is concerned, either, but with writing, too. Ah, I remember the days when writing 5,000+ words in a single sitting was a breeze. I've been feeling pretty inspired and motivated as of late, though, so hopefully that'll change.
For those who might be curious (are any of my dA friends still around? -pokepoke-) nothing much else has been up. (Well, that's a lie; a lot has happened, but it's nothing I'm willing to talk about on dA.)
I'll be starting university in either the spring or next fall. My choices in major have been narrowed down to biochemistry or biomedical engineering, and I'll most likely choose a minor in a language of some sort, too. You never know what might happen, though, so that could change. Regardless, my ultimate goal is to get into a medical field of some sort some day. The ambitious part of me really yearns to go to med school, but that's obviously quite a stretch for someone as lazy and unmotivated as I am.
In the geekery line of things, I've been far too obsessed with Left 4 Dead 2 and Fallout 3 for my own good. They've pretty much consumed my life these days. Twilight is still warded off with several crates of dynamite and towering copies of Bram Stoker's Dracula and Le Fanu's Carmilla. Surprisingly, Hetalia has become one of my current anime/manga favorites despite the largely shounen-ai/yaoi loving fanbase and my own general indifference to BL pairings. General academic geekiness has grown quite a bit, too. (I mean, seriously, who in their right mind reads textbooks for fun? Ohgodwhatiswrongwithme.)
And if any of my dA friends are still here and seeing this, how have you been? How's life? Hope things are wonderfully well and productive and geeky. ♥
